Designed for Telecommunications and Remote Telemetry applications in harsh environments. Service locations vary from arctic ice to desert sand. Suitable for commercial and industrial applications where equipment enclosures cannot be vented.

This fully-automatic battery charger reduces the charge rate to a safe maintaining rate as the battery is charged, maintaining the batteries in fully charged condition while supporting the connected equipment load.

SPECIFICATIONS
TEMPERATURE COMPENSATION: Charger automatically adjusts the maintaining charge voltage to compensate for ambient temperature changes from -30 degrees C to 65 degrees C.

VOLTAGE COMPENSATION: Charger automatically holds the output voltage constant over +/- 10 percent AC line voltage swing, while in the maintaining mode.

ADJUSTABLE VOLTAGE LEVEL: Maintaining voltage set point is adjustable between 26.0 and 28.8 volts, to provide proper charge for both float and cyclic applications. Preset at the factory for float at 27.6 volts DC.

REVERSE POLARITY AND SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION: Charger will not turn on if improperly connectred to a battery or if output leads are shorted.

LOW BATTERY START: Can be used to start severely discharged batteries. (Terminal block connections provided.)

AC CIRCUIT PROTECTOR: Branch circuit rated fuse.

DC CIRCUIT PROTECTOR: Fuse protects charger from severe overloads such as shorted cells.

CONNECTIONS: Input and output connections are provided by barrier type terminal strips, utilizing plated brass hardware.
